While I am a Firefighter I am also an informed as an Insurance Executive who co-built Health Plans and Health Insurance Programs.
Let me help protect your entitled benefit. I know the ins and outs of Healthcare. Our Veterans, Indian Health Services, Medicaid, and Medicare need an updating on process for claims including the creation of a National Physician Network, A National Pharmacy Benefit Manager Program and Medical Facility Network. This will allow for Healthcare transparency.
I believe a women’s health decisions are private and between her and her physician. To me it seems obvious that the (HIPAA) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 should protect the patient and doctor relationship.
The PACT Act is the most significant expansion of benefits and services for toxic exposed veterans in more than 30 years. It is now time to make healthcare more accessible for Veterans by continuing the process of impacting that change and holding our Government and Administrations accountable for the change.
First Responders are in need of presumptive health coverage. Much like our Veterans, First Responders are subject to toxic exposures and stressors causing heart attack, cancer & stroke. It is now time to make healthcare accessible for our Retiree and Active First Responders. We must serve those who served us.
We are in need of financial aid education reform. The predatory lending practices of student loans needs repair.
Student curriculum and development needs for the Learner must have the Education Department acting on behalf of the Learner. The Learner who does not have a voice or say when intimidated or bully based on status and who does not represent the majority group needs protections. We must preserve our Educational Rights and tell the accurate history of our country. Educational accountability matters. Teaching historical truths matter. Empathic learning brings social justice to the Neighborhood and betters our community.
Our housing markets are under siege and we need to help ensuring that the assessments of properties are fair and appropriate. As there are rises in cost to buying a home we as a country need to help the first time buyer and the restoration of a home buyer who needs a second chance to own a home.
By bringing fostering tax incentives and credits to home buyers for single residence we can help combat some of these obstacles in todays housing markets. We can do it better and we should.
We need to help with re-distribution of water rights. We need to protect and honor water rights while preserving our precious resource. Creating incentives to assist farmers in developing new policy and solutions so they may redevelop their water infrastructure systems and conserving water loss is critical. This also includes underground water irrigation systems. All should be done through Tax incentives and re-development strategy. The infrastructure does matter.
We need to reasonably and safely protect the border. This complex issues involves more than a wall. Migrant and refugees who come to the Arizona & the U.S. need humane practices for screening and monitoring while we assist through the process of entry.
Closing border barrier gaps does not always mean a physical wall. The environment and its eco-system does require unique solutions although it might not always be a physical wall we have technology and our Border Protectors to keep us safe. We live here and it should be our Representatives of AZ in a united non-partisan caucus to help with these solutions. Personnel, Funding, and Rational Solutions require us to come together with solution.
As a Professional Firefighter I have professional & personal experience with these issues, including violent crime towards me. It does not change my view about humanitarian obligation to help those who are fleeing towards freedom.
I feel awareness, safety & education are at the the front of most our issues in the 8th District. Doing things to keep people safer without infringing on the Second Amendment Rights of responsible people is critical.
Stricter laws towards domestic violence offenders with guns. Anyone who's been convicted on a domestic violence charge is barred from owning or buying a gun in the US, but in practice there are many loopholes, we need better enforcement.
Exercising and having a national red-flag law that will permit temporarily restrict that person's access to guns
I have a moderate fiscal philosophy. Being balanced does matter. I follow a rationale decision process that does include legal or regulatory influence. Their is a need to risk mitigate which creates principles I do follow. My priority is with my constituency for those who do and do not vote for me.
